where Canyon Lake
the kayak     This will be the Arizona Trailblazers first Canyon Lake Holiday Picnic & Paddle, hopefully becoming an annual tradition. Bring your own kayak, paddleboard (SUP), or canoe, rent a kayak, paddleboard, or canoe, or borrow a kayak, paddleboard, or canoe.
We’ll start paddling from the Boulder Recreation Area (see directions below) at around 9:00 a.m. and return to the area at Noon. Norma and Anna will start preparations for a group picnic then, and we’ll all sit down to eat around 1:00 p.m. Please bring a side dish or dessert item to share with others. We’ll each bring our own main dish for the picnic.
If you don’t care to kayak or paddleboard, you’re welcome to just show up for the picnic around 12:30. There will also be beach games like beanbag toss and horseshoes. If anyone has any other games to bring, please feel free to do so.
Please be advised that we may have to postpone this trip due to unfavorable weather conditions, especially high winds on the lake.
