Description:
We will be carpooling from Phoenix on the morning of July 5 and driving
to
Carlsbad.
The trip will include self-guided tours of the Big Room and Natural
Entrance, one ranger-guided tour, as well as the evening
“bat show”.
Plans also include driving to Roswell to visit the
UFO Festival and Alamogordo to visit the
New Mexico Museum of Space History and
White Sands National Monument.
We will be staying three nights in motels and returning to Phoenix
on July 8.
Estimated costs include: Carlsbad Caverns admission of $6 per adult
plus $8 for the Left Hand Tunnel (depending on availability);
$3 entrance fee for the Space Museum, $3 entrance fee for White Sands,
meals, plus shared cost of lodging for three nights and gas expense.
Admission to the UFO Festival is free – there are hot air balloons
and airplane rides available for a fee.
