Hike is full
Couple of things to consider: Come with a flexible outlook on the agenda: things may change. Come prepared to have a good time.

Grand Canyon National Park is one of most beautiful parks in the United States. It is one of the seven natural wonders in the world. The majestic Vermillion Cliffs, endless mountains ranges and unstoppable Colorado river formed marvelous views and leave you stunned with its beauty and breath-taking scenery. We will take advantage of Labor Day weekend exploring a few beautiful areas of Grand Canyon North Rim and Page, Arizona.

Friday August 30, Morning, We will leave early morning around 8:00 am from Phoenix drive to Page Arizona, about 5+ hours, to Horseshoe Bend. We'll walk at this famous, photogenic spot for an easy walk of 1-1.5 miles. We will check in the hotel at Page. In the evening, we will take a short drive to Glen Canyon National Recreation Area to do a sunset hike on the Beehive Loop Trail, which includes the New Wave formation, a distance of about 2-3 miles easy hike. Get your camera ready since you will be surprised how beautiful the rock formations are in this area.

Saturday August 31, Morning, We will hike the Wire Pass slot canyon. Leaving Page, we will caravan west to the Wire Pass Trailhead. These is 45 minutes driving on the dirt road so high clearance vehicle is recommended, but a passenger car can make it. This will be 5-6 miles hike. If you have not seen Antelope Canyon, this is an alternative since they have similar rock formations. Please purchase your Wire Pass permit advance at www.Recreation.gov. Each person must have their own permit. We will then drive west to Kanab, UT and from there, south to the Grand Canyon Lodge on the North Rim, around three total hours of driving.

Sunday September 1, Morning, Morning 8:30 am meet at North Kaibab Trailhead, hike down to Supai Tunnel, about 4 miles hike with 1,377 feet elevation change. For people who have more energy, you could hike down to Roaring Springs for 8.4 miles hike with 3,517 feet elevation change. You will experience the most majestic view of the inner Canyon and enjoy the terrain of the Canyon with a quick steep descent. Depending on the weather and temperature, climbing back to the canyon rim will be a challenge, since most of the trail has no shade. The trail to and from Supai Tunnel has shade.

Sunday September 1, Evening, Watching the sunset after group dinner at Grand Canyon Lodge and soak in the great view at the cliff site and walking on beautiful short trail at Bright Angle point for a 0.8-mile easy walk

Monday September 2, Morning, Meet at the Lodge area at 8:30 AM. We will hike the Widforss Trail which is a 10-mile hike (1,082 feet elevation change) in the shaded forest to Widforss Point on the Rim. At the end you will be rewarded with breathtaking views of the Canyon and North Rim.

Monday September 2, Evening, , We will drive to Cape Royal, to enjoy sunset at this beautiful spot on the North Rim. You won't be disappointed! This is my favorite spot on the North Rim. We will have a group dinner tonight before leaving GC the next day.

Tuesday September 3, Morning, Check out of Grand Canyon Lodge and drive to Phoenix.

Important Notes:, Depending on the weather conditions, the hikes may change. Wirepass is dangerous if any potential rain due to flash flooding, so we will have alternative if the weather does not permit this hike. Please book your hotel for one night at Page for August 30. I have booked two cabins that will be shared (4 person each for September 1 through September 3) please let me know if you want to take these spots. You do need book one night August 31 on Grand Canyon lodge. There are rooms still available that day. Additional rooms are currently available at Kaibab Lodge, which is private and a 30-minute drive from the Grand Canyon Lodge as well if you would prefer stay by yourself.
