Arizona Trailblazers Hiking Club
Arizona Trail passage 33 Day Hike
when August 11, 2017
where Flagstaff
the hike     This is an easy hike to get the blood flowing and muscle working after driving or flying to Flagstaff. We will start in the middle of this passage and head south for 3 miles and then turn around. This will give everyone a chance to meet and greet before the Mt. Humphrys hike the next day. After we get south of I-40 we will be in the pine forest of Arizona’s high country. If thunderstorms roll in we can retreat back to the area under the freeway until they pass.
After the hike we can have dinner at “The Northern Pines” or “Porky’s Bar & Pub”. They are across Butler from each other. I prefer “The Northern Pines”.

weather Flagstaff
meet in
1:00 PM in the Taco Bell/ Sam’s Club parking lot. I prefer that persons stay in Flagstaff Friday night. If leaving from Phoenix, you must leave before 10 AM from the Bell & I-17 area.
•  Take I-17 north to Flagstaff. Then take I-40 east to Butler.
Take Butler northwest. At the light, make a left turn and stay on Butler.
Turn south at the light at Babbitt Dr. and park south of Taco Bell. This lot is shared with Sam’s Club. All roads are paved.
Our goal is to on the trail no later than 1:15 PM.
