the hike |
This will be a one-way hike along the Arizona Trail Passage 30b on the San
Francisco Plateau and a continuation of the hike taken on June 18 on Passage
30a. The hike is relatively flat through forest with some more open areas at
elevations 7000 to 7500 ft. We will hike the length of Passage 30 segment b,
starting on the Navajo Springs Trail in the Mormon Lake Village and ending
at Dairy Springs which is west of the north end of Mormon Lake.
We intersect the Mormon Mountain trail and take it down to the trailhead
just west of the Dairy Springs campground.
There will be a car shuttle. I have hiked a portion of the trail and believe it is similar to 30a with a few elevation changes but more trees. |
