|when||Trip Report : August 24, 2019|
|where||Flagstaff, north of the SF Peaks|
The hike will start at a trail junction where the AZ Trail crosses FR 418.
We will hike south from there to the Bismarck Lake trail junction.
Take a side trip over to the mostly dry lake where we will take a snack break.
We will then turn around and return via the same route we came in on.
The trail is a well maintained single track most of the way. It is mostly covered as we make our way through a forest of old growth Aspens and Ponderosa Pine; however, there are open areas, mainly on the Bismarck Lake Trail.
