|when||Trip Report : October 6, 2018|
|where||South of Grand Canyon|
On Oct 6, 2018, the Arizona Trail is celebrating its 50th year.
On that day they will have hikers on each segment of the trail.
I have signed up the Trailblazers for 3 segments of passage 37, which is south
of the Grand Canyon.
The hike is limited to 10 hikers on each of two hikes.
One hike is segment 75 from Grandview Lookout to FR 2709 east of Tusayan, for a distance of 10 miles. The other hike is segments 76 and 77, from South Kaibab Trailhead to FR 2709, a distance of 12.5 miles. Both hikes will involve car shuttles.
We will rent two houses in Williams to spend Friday and Saturday nights. Most of us will eat out those two nights, but you are welcome to bring your own food and eat in the rented house.
This should be a fun event and a great opportunity to hike some more of the AZT and to help celebrate the beginning of this marvelous resource.
