Escudilla Mtn Day Hike

where Apache - Sitgreaves National Forest
the hikes     Escudilla National Recreation Trail # 308, Apache - Sitgreaves National Forest, Nutrioso Topping out at just under 10,900-feet of elevation, Escudilla Mountain Trail is Arizona's third highest path only the Humphreys Peak trail in Flagstaff and the Mount Baldy tail near Greer are higher. The moderate-rated path ascends easily through aspen glens and the territory of the Mexican gray wolf. Elusive and fleet - of - foot, spotting one along White Mountain trails is an extremely rare occurrence. Still, the fact that they are out there adds to the allure of the area.
Required:
•  Sturdy hiking boots
•  At least 2 liters of water,
•  Rain poncho and a flannel shirt or light jacket
•  Hat, sunblock, sunglasses
•  Lunch or snacks
Recommended:
•  Hiking poles
•  Camera
