This mostly downhill hike will take us from Sunset Trailhead to
Buffalo Park by way of the Dry Lake Hills and the western slopes of
Mount Elden. Along the way we’ll pass through ever-changing life
zones of the Coconino National Forest, with many fine panoramic views.
The Oldham Trail is described on pages 182-183 of Flagstaff Hikes
by Richard & Sherry Mangum, 5th edition, Hexagon Press, 2001.

Park behind Denny’s, near the entrance to the Deer Valley Park & Ride.

of Milton and University (just north of I-17) in the corner of the lot next to
the traffic light by 9:15 AM.
