the ridgeline of the Mazatzals, going up on the Gold Ridge Trail and then
down on the South Fork Trail. See

S. Power Road, or 7:30 AM at Deer Creek Trailhead.

Deer Creek Trailhead is at the junction of Arizona SR 87 and SR 188.
From Fountain Hills, take AZ 87 north to mile marker 235.5.
The trailhead is well-marked on a dirt road just off the highway.
