Unlike the Grand Canyon we go UP hill first then return down.
It is about 15 miles round trip and about 3800 feet. We hike an old road.
Start at about 3300 ft and hike to the towers at 7100 feet. No off trail.
It is a little late in season so bring electrolytes and extra water to stash.
Trim your toenails!
For the upcoming Grand Canyon trip, this is close to the elevation and distance from Indian Garden to the top. The top at Grand Canyon is 6,900' and Mt. Ord is 7,100'.
After the hike: There is a wonderful restaurant: Red, White, and Brew, that some may enjoy!
