Boynton Subway Cave Day Hike

the hike	I noticed that this hike was posted on AllTrails and internet. When I hiked there, I met some people on the trail. I think it is fine to share this hike to the club. We will start at Boynton trailhead. The trail is not hard to get to base of the cave.     Climbing up to the ruin is very heard and it requires technique in scrambling on slick rock. Required: •  Sturdy hiking boots •  At least 3 liters of water •  Rain poncho •  Hat, sunblock, sunglasses Recommended: •  Lunch or snacks •  Camera •  Your smiles  :)

meet	8:00 AM at Boynton Canyon Trailhead.
drive	•  Take I-17 north to the Highway 179 turnoff to Sedona (Exit 298). • From the junction of AZ 179 and 89A in the center of Sedona, drive west for 3.2 miles on 89A to Dry Creek Road. • At the stop light, make a right turn and head north on Dry Creek Road for an additional 2.9 miles to a T intersection with Long Canyon/Boynton Pass Road. • Make a left turn and drive 1.5 miles to a second T intersection. • Make a right turn and drive for another 0.3 miles. • Just before reaching the gatehouse to the Enchantment Resort, we’’ll come to a trailhead parking area to the right and pick up the trailhead just outside the resort entrance. • All roads are paved to the trailhead. Plenty of parking and restrooms are located here.
