This enjoyable trail follows a winding course from a trailhead near the
Senator Highway, passes the Upper and Lower Goldwater lakes, and after 4.6
miles reaches the White Spar Campground. The trail is wooded and offers views
of the Sierra Prietas Mountains and of Bannon Creek and pond.
Total elevation is small and hardly noticeable because of the gradual contours of the path.
Following a rest break, we’ll return by the same route.
