This will be a leisurely hike with breathtaking views, leading up to the Seven Sacred Pools and then Soldiers Pass Cave.
We will begin the hike at the John Vianney Catholic Church parking lot, following the Adobe Jack Trail to Devil’s Kitchen.
From there, we’ll continue along the Soldiers Pass Trail to the Seven Sacred Pools, and then up to Soldiers Cave.
We will take a lunch break at either the Seven Sacred Pools or Devils Kitchen, depending on the time. The route will then continue along the Jordan Trail at the trail junction to Ant Hill Loop Trail, then onto Grand Central Trail, Crusty Trail, and finally back to the church parking lot—completing our lollipop loop Have your camera ready, as both the geological landmarks and wildlife (particularly birds) will be abundant. Once everyone has regrouped at the end of the hike, we will head a short distance into West Sedona for a late lunch. The temperature is expected to be around 71 F as we finish the hike. Please dress accordingly and bring enough water. Required: • Sturdy hiking boots • At least 3 liters of water • Rain poncho • Hat, sunblock, sunglasses • tracking pole Recommended: • Lunch or snacks • Camera |
