where? Superior
the hike     Passage 18 of the Arizona Trail starts near Alamo Canyon and provides great views from the ridge overlooking Potts Canyon and Rice Water Canyon before passing Barnett Camp and dipping down into Whitford Canyon, where it joins Forest Road 650 at the trailhead. The Trailblazers are hiking the southern 7 miles of this passage. See map. On this partly exploratory hike we’ll have two parties start from opposite directions and meet in the middle for lunch and exchange of car keys. No auto shuttle!
