Lone Mountain Loop Exploratory Day Hike

the hike •  Enjoy the views that the Goldfields offer!
•  Part A: Hike the trail to the peak (about 2.5 miles round trip, +-800').
•  Part B: Continue off trail down a ridgeline to explore the valley below. Hunt for the “urn”. Head for the rock formation at “S3”. Return, crossing high points “P” and elevation 2129 (estimated 7 miles, +-1600'). See Map.

meet 8:30 AM at Red Mountain Park located at 7745 E. Brown Rd. in Mesa (south side of Brown Road, east of Power Road).
Directions from the Red Mountain Freeway (Loop 202):
•  Exit 26 (Brown Road).
Go west on Brown a half mile to the light at Sterling Dr.
Turn left (south) at Sterling into the park. Then take the first left into the Palo Brea parking lot.
