the kayak     This will be the first in what will hopefully become a regular series of monthly kayaking day trips for the Arizona Trailblazers. At some point we may also start planning an occasional car-camping trip that combines both kayaking and hiking. We will plan and learn as we go with this newest addition to the club’s schedule.
This first Arizona Trailblazers kayaking trip will be at Saguaro Lake. We will meet at Butcher Jones Beach, reached from Bush Highway (driving directions below), and launch our kayaks off the beach. From there we’ll start paddling clockwise around the lake, keeping close to the shoreline.
We’ll plan on pulling in to shore from time to time as people get tired of paddling and probably stop on shore for a lunch break around 11:30 or so.
