Arizona Trailblazers Hiking Club
Bartlett Lake Kayaking
when Trip Report : March 14, 2021
where Bartlett Lake
the kayak     This will be the second in what will hopefully become a regular series of monthly kayaking day trips for the Arizona Trailblazers. At some point we may also start planning an occasional car-camping trip that combines both kayaking with hiking. We will plan and learn as we go with this newest addition to the club’s schedule.
This second Arizona Trailblazers kayaking trip will be at Bartlett Lake. We will meet at the SB Cove area launch area and launch our kayaks off the beach. From there we’ll start paddling north on the lake to Rattlesnake Cove, Bartlett Flat, and beyond into the Verde River part of the lake, keeping close to the shoreline.
We’ll plan on pulling in to shore from time to time as people get tired of paddling and plan on stopping at a shady shore area for a lunch break around 11:30 or so.
Please be advised that we may have to postpone this trip due to unfavorable weather conditions, especially high winds on the lake.
NOTE: This trip will be limited to the first ten people who sign up.
