MCT Segment 22 Bronco to Tonto Day Hike

the hike     This will be an exploratory hike along the Maricopa Trail starting at the Bronco Trailhead on Cave Creek Road north of Carefree and hiking southward to the Tonto Trailhead on Bartlett Lake Road. Start at an elevation of 3700 feet and climb up Kentuck Mountain at an elevation of 4200 feet and then descend to Blue Wash/Camp Creek crossing at elevation 2860 and then climb to the Tonto Trailhead at elevation 3250. See the Map and profile.
If we get enough people to sign up we will do a key swap. Either way, we meet at the Tonto Trailhead on the north side of Bartlett Lake Road just east of Cave Creek Road. This hike is a continuation of my desire to hike the nicer portions of the 310 mile Maricopa Trail that circles the Greater Phoenix Metropolitan Area.
