Lower Fish Creek Canyon is so spectacular that it would be world-famous
if it were anywhere but Arizona! The Coronado Mesa route will take us to
a series of awesome overviews of Fish Creek Canyon, with the splendid
Mazatzal, Goldfield, and Superstition Mountains in the background. This
off-trail hike will also include bushwhacking, prickly vegetation,
and precipitous drop-offs at the canyon rim.
This hike is described in
Footloose from Phoenix, by Ted Tenny, pages 93-98.
