Four Trailblazers are ready to hike in Usery Park. [Gail]

On a chilly Sunday morning four Arizona Trailblazers began their hike in Usery Park. We started counterclockwise so that we got the hard part of the trail finished while we were fresh. There was a breeze and it filled the air with the smell of the desert.
It was the weekend after Thanksgiving and those of us who are familiar with the trail were wondering if the Christmas display would be up this year. Gail has noticed it there for the last 5 years and it brought a smile on her face when we saw it.

At the halfway point we stopped for a short break and snack while we enjoyed the views. One hiker went a short distance and found a wild beehive in a small cave area.

Around the corner we had a great view of four peaks and many healthy saguaro cacti. We hurried to get out as it was starting to warm up. What a great day!
