We start on the Mogollon Rim vista trail. It runs along the rim over to Woods Canyon Lake.
The trail is shaded and kind of flat. We make good time over to the Military Sinkhole trail.
The Military Sinkhole trail has two parts. Some of the group will do both parts and others
will only do the upper part. The vista trail give greats views.

The Military Sinkhole trail, because it is lower that the rest of the rim stays cooler and is wetter.
There is some good displays of flowers today. The upper part of the Military Sinkhole trail goes over to
the General Crook tail. We then take the General Crook tail over to the Woods Canyon Lake trail. There is
a sign here explainig the General Crook tail. Very few persons read this sign. We then take the
Woods Canyon Lake trail back to the Mogollon Rim vista trail and our lunch spot.

After lunch it is time to continue on the vista trail back to the Military Sinkhole trail
At this point some of the group goes down the Military Sinkhole trail to the 260 trailhead.
The others stay on the vista trail back to the cars. We left a car at the 260 trailhead, so the
persons will have a ride back up to the cars. We get back to the cars a little while before the
persons from the 260 trailhead get back, so we wait for them. They have upgraded the signs at the
260 trailhead. The old ones you could bearly read. Some of us then go to Mackys in Payson
for a late lunch.
