Drive Rt60, Rt177S (Copper Corridor Scenic Drive West), East Florence-Kelvin Highway, Centurian Lane, Crest Trail #130 TH AZNST sec 16 Meetup at Crest Trail 130 TH 10:00AM. (GPS 33.106556,-110.979120) Hike in&out 6.2 miles, 3hrs, EG 910ft End hike by 1:00PM. Drive 1hr Rt177S, Winkelman, Rt77N (Copper Corridor Scenic Drive East), Globe. Arrive at Globe 2:00PM Overnight at Apache Gold Casino approx $125/night. Dinner at casino 5:30PM. Hike 2 May 2, 2026 Depart Hotel 8:00AM. Drive 45min, 31 miles, Rt 60W to Picketpost TH (Just West of Thompson Arboretum) Meetup at Picket Post TH 8:45AM. Hike picketpost circumference loop, 4.5-5hrs, 9 miles, EG 761 ft. End hike by 2:00PM. Return to hotel 45 minutes. Overnight at Apache Gold Casino. Dinner at casino 5:30PM. Hike 3 May 3, 2026 Depart Hotel 8:00AM. Checkout. Drive 45 min, 35 miles, Rt60W, Rt188N, cross Roosevelt Lake Bridge, Vinyard TH will be a short distance on the right. Meetup at 8:45AM at Vinyaqrd TH. Hike to Mills Ridge, in&out, 6.25 miles, 4.5 hrs, EG 2188 ft. End hike by 1:30PM. Return to Phoenix, 2.5hrs, 126 miles, Hike 1 is a river walk. Hike 2 goes around a mountain. Hike 3 is a climb with canyon views On Sunday after the hike, we head for home. Required: • Sturdy hiking boots • At least 3 liters of water per day • Rain poncho • Hat, sunblock, sunglasses Recommended: • Lunch or snacks • Camera |
