From the trailhead go to the lake then to the AZT junction (Passage 34).
We will stay to the left and take the AZT to FS 418.
AZT goes through a mixed forest of ponderosa pine, aspen, and large
Douglas fir. After we get to the AZT it is flat as Arizona trails go.
We will stop when we get to FS 418
for a rest and lunch break. While the persons who left their cars at
Bismarck Lake will take Les truck back and then pick up the hikers.
Required: • Sturdy hiking boots • At least 3 liters of water • Rain poncho and a flannel shirt or light jacket • Hat, sunblock, sunglasses • Lunch or snacks Recommended: • Hiking poles • Camera |
