the hike     This moderate to difficult lollipop hike will start at the Bulldog Canyon Wolverine gate. We will walk about 1.5 miles along a 4WD road to the start of the trail to ascend to the top of Dome Mt. The colorful trail is steep and has some slight exposure in spots. Gloves are recommended. Once at the top there will be terrific views of the Goldfields. After a break at the peak we’ll bushwhack and descend via a different route and circle around the peak hopefully finding a park service water collection site. From there we’ll continue to bushwhack around the mt. to eventually find our way back to the trail leading us to the road. This is not an easy hike.
