Nine Trailblazers decided to hike the three loop trail in Thunderbird park. We got an extra treat with Glendale have a holiday special for the kids. On the first loop we could have visted with Santa, but we decide to hike onward. When we went down the other side of the peak, back to the parking lot. There was a small petting & picture booth for the kids.

With the first loop done, it is now time to do the second loop. At the top of this hill is a flag pole that an local Veterans group rises and lowers the flag at sun rise and set. This is the most elevation gain for any of the loops. This is the highest peak in the park that has a trail. We then continue on the loop and go down to a table and bench for lunch and/ or snack before the third loop.

With the second loop done, it is now time to do the third loop. At the top of this hill is a tree with Chistmas decorations. We do gain some elevation on this loop, less than the second, but more than the first loop. This was a good workout and the weather was great. At the end it did look like it was going to rain, but never did.
