The
Arizona Trailblazers Hiking Club, or Trailblazers, is dedicated to the purpose
of promoting hiking and related activities which further the appreciation,
understanding, preservation and enjoyment of the land, its plants and wildlife,
and all natural things and objects.
Our trips
vary in length and difficulty, and include
overnight and backpack hikes. We welcome non-members to participate
in all our activities, but in the case of trips with limited available
space, club members and their guests have priority. Our hikes frequently
include family groups of all ages. All participants take responsibility for
their individual safety and welfare on Trailblazer excursions.
|
Preparation |
In order to enjoy the hike, it is essential that you are well prepared.
Preparation includes, among other things, that you are medically fit; that
you have done other similar hikes in the past; that you have enough food
and water; that you have proper footwear; and that you are dressed for
possible adverse weather. The club does not assume responsibility for
anyone's safety: all participants must sign a Trip Release Form. See our
Policies & Guidelines for more information.

Car Pools |
Voluntary car pools are formed to take the hikers to trailheads.
The cost of gas and park entry fees is shared by everyone in the pool.
