Arizona Trailblazers Hiking Club
Aspen Loop Day Hike
when June 16, 2024 Sunday
Trip Report : October 3, 2020
where Flagstaff
the hike     The Aspen Loop Trail combines part of Arizona Trail (yellow and Blue on the Map).
We will begin the hike at the Humphrey Peak trailhead heading toward Aspen Nature Loop Trail to the left then join the Arizona Trail San Francisco Peaks for 2.5 miles miles, then turn left at junction of Bismarck Lake Trail to Bismarck lake. We will take a snack/ lunch break under a huge tree then make a small lollipop loop return to the Arizona Trail San Francisco Peaks and through the Aspen Nature Loop Trail back to the trailhead. This will be a beautiful hike at high altitude. We will see San Francisco Peaks most of the time on the way toward Bismarck lake. I hope we will see enough water in the lake since we had a quiet bit of snow this year.
