where Flagstaff
the hike     This is an exploratory hike, meaning I haven’t pre-hiked the route. Skunk Canyon is one of several canyons south of Flagstaff, accessed from Lake Mary Road and running east to Walnut Canyon. Starting at a parking area on Lake Mary Road, we will look for a connector trail to the beginning of Skunk Canyon., and head east until we reach Walnut Creek and then have a small climb up to Fisher Point. After a break at the Point, we’ll return the way we came. This is a flat hike, except for a short climb to Fisher Point.
