Arizona Trailblazers Hiking Club
Kiwanis Day Hike
January 18, 2024 Thursady
This loop hike starts at Ranger Trail at the Five Tables Trailhead and includes hiking on Las Lomitas, Kiwanis and
National Trails for an easy to moderate hike with great views. Hike across the desert before ascending on the steep
Kiwanis Trail through a beautiful canyon. After crossing a road, ascend a short distance to a stone structure at the
top where we have lunch. The views of the Estrellas and the Valley from here are spectacular. The trail then follows
a gently rolling ridge line before a steady descent via rocky Ranger Trail. Hiking sticks are helpful.
Thanks to Debi Quarry who led me on the first hike I did in this vicinity and introduced me to this beautiful area.
