Prescott Circle, Segment 6 Day Hike

where	Prescott
the hike	The Prescott Circle Trail is just over 50 miles long and a portion is maintained by the City of Prescott and the remainder by the US Forest Service. We will hike most of Segment 6, which is located south of SR 69 and east of the Senator Highway. A large portion of this segment was realigned in the last couple of years, so I am not able to find good data on the trail.     We will start at the Turley Trailhead and hike a short distance to the Badger Mountain Trail, which is also the realigned Prescott Circle Trail. Hike south and mostly uphill to Ranch Trail 62 and turn left and follow it to the junction with Trail 9854.     This is our turnaround point and snack or lunch break. Retrace Trail 62 for less than a mile and turn left on Boy Scout Trail 126. Take it back to the beginning trailhead.

meet	7:00 AM in the Fry’s parking lot on the SW corner of I-17 & Bell Road. Park behind Denny’s, near the entrance to the Deer Valley Park & Ride.
drive	•  Go north on I-17 and take SR 69 to Prescott. • When you approach US 89 junction in Prescott, bear left onto Gurley Street. Turn left onto Robinson Street, which is the first opportunity and just past the Best Western motel. • Turn left onto Hillcrest, which is the second street you come to and just past Stetson Rd. Hillcrest becomes Butterfield. Follow it a few blocks and turn right onto Wells Fargo St. • Follow Wells Fargo and bear right at a weird intersection to stay on Wells Fargo. Just before Wells Fargo makes a 90 degree turn to the left, there is a sign on the right for the Turley Trailhead. • Turn right and take the one lane unpaved road a short distance to the unpaved parking area.. • There are no restrooms at the trailhead, just a picnic table.
