| the hike |
The Prescott Circle Trail is just over 50 miles long and a portion is maintained by the
City of Prescott and the remainder by the US Forest Service. We will hike most of
Segment 6, which is located south of SR 69 and east of the Senator Highway.
A large portion of this segment was realigned in the last couple of years, so I am
not able to find good data on the trail.
We will start at the Turley Trailhead and hike a short distance to the Badger Mountain Trail, which is also the realigned Prescott Circle Trail. Hike south and mostly uphill to Ranch Trail 62 and turn left and follow it to the junction with Trail 9854. This is our turnaround point and snack or lunch break. Retrace Trail 62 for less than a mile and turn left on Boy Scout Trail 126. Take it back to the beginning trailhead. |
