For those who may speculate how tequila relates to the sober enjoyment of a hike
in the pines of Mingus Mountain, let me elaborate. One section of this hike will be
on not the Mezcal, but the Mescal Trail, near the summit of Mingus Mountain
between Prescott Valley and Jerome.
During our trek, we will start well below the Mingus Mountain summit, but navigate
our way on several USFS trails to that destination for a lunch break.
As we loop back to the trailhead, if the weather and smoke
cooperate, views of the Verde Valley and Sedona should present themselves.
