Jeeping. This would be a great hike if the weather were cooler, but since it is hot, we will drive in by vehicle.
We start on East Happy Camp Road, take a left on North Happy Camp Road, aka as FR 650.
We turn left, west, on an unnamed jeep road about .7 miles long, which will take us to our destination – The Crack and the Old Jail.
On Alltrails and Gaia, this area is referred to as Barnett Camp. High clearance 4x4s will be required. I cannot vouch for the
condition of the final 1.1 mile road, so we will go only as far as the drivers are comfortable with. Number of participants is limited by
number of suitable vehicles.
Lunch afterwards for those interested at the Silver King in Superior.
