I know this is Halloween, but this hike is short and scenic. It starts at the very
north end of Idaho Rd. From the trailhead, we hike to the middle summit of the cluster of rock
hills. Here we will see an arch with a panoramic view of the valley below. We continue over a
ridge and down to the main road of Bulldog canyon. We follow the road for about a mile, then
go off-trail up a series of washes until we reach another arch. From here, we take a marked
trail back to our starting point. Last year we ran across a mountain lion den along the route,
which we will bypass this time.
