| the hike |
We start off by hiking a gradual uphill grade on the gravel road
from the outhouses for about 30 minutes until we get to the stone
houses at the end of the road. Here we cross the Pima wash and
take the National Trail uphill. We continue the gradual uphill
walk (beware the mountain bikers) to the Hidden Valley branch
(look for sign). Just past Fatman's Misery Hidden Valley joins
the National Trail again. We continue on to the Buena Vista
parking lot near the antenna farm. Great views of downtown Phoenix, Camelback, Papago Park and Sky Harbor airport. Bring binoculars. |
