| the hike |
We will see some interesting shaped giant saguaro cactus and an ancient metate
on the Spur Cross/Metate trails, then a brief climb will allow views of the desert
surrounding Cave Creek.
Branch off onto the Dragonfly Trail and although the creek bed was almost dry during my recent pre-hike, we will still see some pretty scenery. Stop for a snack at the Jewel of the Creek Preserve before hiking back to the parking lot. Return to the parking lot by noon, and if interested, we can stop in Cave Creek for lunch. You will need: • at least 3 liters of water • good hiking boots • sunscreen • hat |
