Amazing Adventure Day Hike

when	Trip Report : December 7, 2019
where	Papago Park, Phoenix
the hike	This hike is all about paying it forward. We are going to roam and explore Papago Park, just enjoy each other’s company and clean up the land. Hopefully, we will witness beautiful big horn sheep along the way! This hike is my holiday venture to share with the club, and there is room to roam and climb if anyone wants to.     I do plan to venture up to Hole In The Rock and climb some while we are there. I wanted to post this early, and there is no limit to how many can sign up.     Although I don’t know this park very well, I have been there various times over the years. That said, I intend to venture a few routes prior to this excursion so that I have a better understanding of my lead hike. Please join me in enjoying the wonder of Papago!     I will provide a large box of trash bags so along the way we can pick up garbage and pay forward some awesome vibes to this beautiful place. Please bring gloves to protect your hands. With that being said, we will not be picking up items that may be dangerous to us.     This past January, Mark and Michelle Jelsma led our potluck hike here, and the amount of garbage was unfathomable. I will supply the trash bags. Please supply your support to help, and gloves! I plan to have us all meet at Pavilion 2. Let us celebrate life, environment, and paying it forward to this wonderful earth we call home!     Though I am not planning a post-hike meal, I will leave that up to the group. Hope to see many of you there! Bring: •  At least 3 liters of water •  Gloves, sunscreen •  Lunch or snacks •  Camera •  :) Your smiles!

meet	7:00 AM at Ramada 2. Papago gets busy early, so any later may cause us less opportunity for parking.
drive	•  Take Loop 202 to Priest Dr. in Tempe, exit 6. • Turn north on Priest Dr., which becomes Galvin Pkwy in Phoenix. • Turn right and go east on Papago Road into the park. • Continue on the Ranger Office Loop Trail. • Ramada 2 is on the north side.
