the event	The Cougar Shadow happens 2 times a year at the equinox. In 2026 the equinox is March 20, so we should have a good show. This happens because of the rock formation in the Superstition Mountains that creates a shadow that looks like a cougar hunting. This is a limited time event, just 30 minutes before sun set. Only on sun sets near the equinox, also only seen from a limited viewing angle. Bring : Water Camp chairs Camera Telescope or other viewing device.

drive	•  Take the Superstition Freeway and US 60 east to Goldfield Road. • Turn left and go north on Goldfield Road to Superstition Rd, find a place to park.
