Forest Service had the area of Dirtyneck Canyon closed off due to the Coldwater Fire.
On to Plan B: we hiked the mini Mt Ord loop.
At 8:00 AM we started from the intersection of FR 27 and FR 626.
After hiking the road to the towers, we returned off trail on the ridgeline.

After the hike we went to visit an old friend who lives at the base of Mt. Ord.
Michael and I first met “Tom T” in
May, 2014.
We ended the hike with grub at Nando’s.
4.8-5.2 miles, +-1350 feet.
