This loop combines five trails: Holbert, National, Kiwanis, Lomitas, and Box Canyon.
Starting at Holbert Trailhead, we hike 2.5 miles on the Holbert Trail. This trail is popular, so we meet some
people along the trail. We keep social distancing. The first 1.7 miles to Dobbins Lookout Junction is steep
and rocky, but good views of downtown. There are some petroglyphs along and off the trail.

At about two miles, one hiker decides to turn back due to not feeling well. At the end of Holbert Trail, we
take the National Trail and hike to junction with Kiwanis Trail, about 2.2 miles. National Trail is very scenic.
Some sections of trail wind along with the road.
At the junction of National and Kiwanis Trails, another hiker wants to do a different direction, and he is sure
to know well about trails back to parking lot.
Only five hikers continue to hike Kiwanis Trail to Lomitas junction.

We hike on the flat and easy Lomitas Trail to the Box Canyon Trail. We follow Box Canyon post to parking
lot at post #1, about 0.5 mile.
Weather is very pleasant after the rain.
Thanks to all for coming to join my hike.
Happy Trails!
