Neil Dennis led this hike. The day was cool and overcast when 15 hikers arrived and posed for a couple of group photos before starting out on the Bootlegger Trail. This trail leads through a fascinating area of giant boulders that form lots of interesting nooks to explore. |

We stopped at a scenic overlook and took a few moments to admire the amazing scenery around us. Trails we used today are: Bootlegger, Granite Mountain Loop, Coyote Canyon, Desperado, Dove Valley, and Cowpoke. |

At the junction of Coyote Canyon and Desperado, we found the Crested Saguaro Cactus. Heading up Desperado about a quarter mile we met up with the Michelin Man Cactus where we stopped for a snack break. On the Coyote Canyon Trail we found an outcropping of rock which (with imagination) resembles a Coyote Howling. |

The day remained overcast and the desert scenery was outstanding. Thanks to Bill for documenting this hike through his photos.
