Four Trailblazers and two soon to be Trailblazers met at the Two Sixty Trailhead, on a cloudy, rainy morning to hike the Highline/Drew Trails. We were blessed with perfect hiking temperatures and weather.

The day started out cloudy with light rain but it eventually cleared up. We had beautiful blue sunny skies on our hike back to the trailhead. The start of our hike offered cloudy views of the area and wet and rain covered greenery.

As we hiked, we had to be careful because the trail was wet and muddy.

As we hiked, we took in the beautiful scenes around us, which included beautiful flowers, fallen trees, wet greenery, and local critters.

At the start of our hike Tom told us “He would probably be slow today because it’s been 7 weeks since he’s hiked” well his slow pace is still pretty fast. He and Li were the first hikers on the Rim. They waited for us and once we all got to the top we celebrated with taking a couple of group selfies.

As we started the hike back the clouds cleared up and left us with beautiful blue skies.

Our hikers had a wonderful day of hiking with nice temperatures in the seventies. We logged around eleven and a half miles. Based on our smiles throughout the hike we all enjoyed it.

The hike ended being 11.5 miles with 1400 feet of elevation gain, and 6 hours and 30 minutes of hiking time. An enjoyable hike for all!
