There were 14 hikers who made the early start for the 8:15 am meeting at the Lake Odell parking Lot. The group of 14 hikers trekked on 3 different trails in the Munds Park area for a total of 7.5 miles. The hikers carpooled over Iron Springs trailhead where they followed the Mund tank trail for approximately 1 mile until they came to the tank.

From the tank they headed south toward the Munds canyon trail and after a brief detour to the right instead of the left they hiked another 3.5 miles to the Pinewood trailhead and took a break in the shade. From the Pinewood trailhead the group headed up the Crystal Point trail to the picnic table and then continued down the backside of the trail until Lake Odell was reached. After a short walk down the street the group returned to the parking area. When the carpool drivers returned from picking up their cars most of the group headed over to the new Sportmunds bar / NiMarco pizza restaurant for lunch. The weather was warmer than normal but there was a slight breeze as we hiked along the ponderosa forest which provided intermittent shade.
