This is a three day trip for Route 66, which is 100 year old in 2026. We start at Two Guns ghost town.
This town ready just was here to support Rout 66 traffic. When it was bypassed by I - 40, it died.
The gas station lived for a while and then it was gone also. After Two Guns, we continued on to Winslow and the corner.
Winslow had Route 66 run though the middle of town, but the song helped Winslow continue.

Day two of the trip is the north side of Petrified Forest National Park. The north side is the wild side.
We are doing the Wilderness trail here. There is no cell coverage here, so if you do not know how to use GPS
and have the way points for the trails here you can get very lost, with no way to call for help. After some days they
notice your car has not moved and start looking for you. We checked in with the rangers, so they know where we are going.
We also have the GPS waypoints loaded. The Wilderness trail is not a signed trail and cross many hard rock areas, so
no trail in many places. The good thing about this trail only experanced persons should be back here. We had the trail to our selfs.
The Wilderness trail goes though three Petrified Forest areas, so we got to see many trees.
On the way out we did have to help a few persons get back on the trail, so they could stop being lost.
