The group met at the Blue Point Trailhead on a moonlit, cold, calm,
clear and pleasant morning.

Shortly after 7:00 AM, we all piled in to two vehicles
and headed to the Dome Mountain Trailhead.
After reaching our Dome Mountain Trailhead starting point, and getting
our trekking gear out and readied, Quy snapped our group photo.

Thereafter, we all started our rambling along the trail, Forest
Road 10 (FR10), towards our destination, the Blue Point Trailhead,
a little over eight miles distant.
Our pace was moderate, neither fast nor slow, and as the trail sloped
gradually downward, the hike as such was very pleasant.
The air temperature was great.
The entire hike was without incident, except for one individual who
had stumbled and fallen, but was not injured.
Here are some photos that Quy had taken along the trail:

After several miles of walking, and upon completing our passage through
Bulldog Canyon per se, our path took us through some small rolling hills
and sandy arroyos.

Before long, we came upon the Salt River flat.
There were some people camped along this stretch, and several vehicles
passed our group as we approached our Blue Point destination.

It was a good hike. |
