where Mazatzal Mountains
the hike We will be following Sycamore Creek for the first mile, crossing over it several times, so there is a slight possibility of getting your feet wet. Then we will take a right onto a sandy wash following an ATV trail. On the very gradual climb through the wash, there will be shade going through an area of trees, some neat rock formations and finally a view of Bartlett Lake below. Reaching the Log Corral with the view of Bartlett Lake will be our lunch spot before heading back. See Map and Elevation. We will be hiking from TH to Log Corral only – out and back.

meet 7:00 AM in the parking lot of the Target Center on the south side of Shea Blvd., about a mile west of Highway 87 (Beeline). For those leaving their cars behind, please park up against the northwest curb away from Starbuck’s.
drive Take Highway 87 and turn left on the dirt Sycamore Creek Road which is shortly past MP 212. Parking will be approximately 1/4 mile in.
