where Sunflower
the hike     Unlike the Grand Canyon we go UP hill first then return down. It is about 15 miles round trip and about 3800 feet. We hike an old road. Start at about 3300 ft and hike to the towers at 7100 feet. No off trail. This is a pretty hike and good for conditioning.
    It is a little late in season, so bring electrolytes and extra water to stash. Trim your toenails!
    I remember the past two years it being very windy on top. Come prepared for a change in temperature from the trailhead.
