Woodchute Trail #102 takes us through the woods and up to a grand
overview of the Verde Valley. We’ll learn the history of this
mining, logging and ranching district from above the 7000' level.
Woodchute Mountain is named for the chute once used to move logs down
to the mines of Jerome.
This hike is on trail with ups and downs over rocky terrain. No water,
but the trail has shade. Depending on the season, flowers may be plentiful.
