Apache Wash Loop Day Hike

where	Phoenix Sonoran Preserve
the hike	This preserve has a well developed system of trails in two areas. We’ll hike the area from the Apache Wash Trailhead, off E Sonoran Desert Drive. This hike is roughly 7.8 miles. Starting at the Apache Wash Trailhead, we’ll take Sidewinder trail, heading for the Apache Vista. Go up the Vista (of course), then retrace our steps, down to Sidewinder where it intersects with the Apache Wash Loop. We’ll then take the Apache Wash Loop all the way around back to the Trailhead. The trails are very well marked. We should see some hot air balloons.    See Park Trail Maps. drive	•  North on I-17 to Dove Valley Road, Exit 221. • At Dove Valley Rd. turn right and go east. • Continue past the intersection (N. North Valley Prkwy) with Fry’s on the left. • Continue on Dove Valley Parkway. It becomes E. Sonoran Desert Drive. • Apache Wash Trailhead will be on the left.
