Cathedral Rock Day Hike

where? McDowell Sonoran Preserve, Scottsdale
the hike Come and join us to hike Brown Ranch-Maverick-Cholla Mountain loop to explore Cathedral Rock, one of beautiful landmarks in northern region of McDowell Sonoran Preserve. This loop is smooth through gradual ups-downs to provide good exercise, with the beautiful desert views, mountain vistas, neat boulders, and giant saguaros. We also explore the Amphitheater Rock on the way.
Required:
•  Sturdy hiking boots
•  At least 3 liters of water
•  Hat, sunblock, sunglasses

•  Camera

drive •  Take the Loop 101 freeway to Pima Road.
•  Get off 101 at Pima Road, exit 36.
•  Go north on Pima 6 miles to Dynamite Blvd.
•  Turn right on Dynamite and go east 5 miles to Alma School Pkwy.
•  Turn left on Alma School Pkwy and go north 1.25 miles to the trailhead.
